How very unfortunate. This violates our fair use of said music and our right to modify a game that we have PURCHASED. Copyright laws will eventually ban ALL mods that have any copyrighted content if you guys fall for this shitty DMCA crap.
Plus the bullshit part of all of this is that GTA V ALLOWS YOU to add your own radio station. How is that a DMCA violation? The publisher of the game is encouraging people to add their own music to the game. Please reconsider this, it could damage the GTA 5 modding community later down the line if you give in to these bullshit complaints.
I only read the first two posts, sorry, but this reminds me of all the tv shows that modify cars that are created and developed by a motor company. They showcase their work and give credit where the credit is due. This type of site does pretty much the same thing. What we are learning and unintentionally (I presume) teaching is that sharing is bad. I for one am very grateful for this Site and sites alike. Well Done Lads.
I totally agree! This is what I have been saying all along. Anything that I use in my mods I make sure I credit the person or company that made the resources. music, or videos that I use. I don't see the harm in doing that. It's not like I am trying to say that everything that I use is my own. But I am just glad that we can add other GTA songs to GTA V without them getting taken down. As long as I can do that I have no problems. Thanks for your insightful post!
@FoxtrotDelta Didn't have a backup. I nabbed copies of the older files to give this a shot. Dumped the old update.rpf into the update folder, then replaced the social club, gta5.exe and the gtavlauncher.exe and then launched it via the gta5.exe. The version number on the bottom of the screen matched up, but it would either gripe about activating (which my valid key won't work for as it says it's in use) or it crashes trying to load into story mode

@rappo i was writing on a thread and someone upvoted my past post. i got 5 notifications for this so the right side of my browser was spammed with this messages. and even if i was just in this thread i have to reload it after my second post i was actually writing to see the upvote and also manually demark it in the notification section. i get those messages because i have 5 tabs from gta5mods open but i think this shouldnt happen. sadly your new plugin work not that good. hope you find a way to fix this or maybe find a better plugin but i know thats a big task.
and as i written to ImNotMental yesterday, when i am on mobile, always a tab must be open before i lock the phone to get notifications and after a hour i have to refresh the site and must do a new login but luckily without everytime entering my login data, i click on "login to post"
@rappo Ah... I have narrowed it down to it being dependent on where I am in the reply box when I try and use it. If you look at this image, you can see that when I am on the top line of the message, it doesn't activate... but when I am here, it does.
Edit: Oooh, I have also discovered this same problem is why the smileys don't show up all the time, that dropdown has the same problem as this one.
