@georgio026 You are checking the dlclist in update.rpf in your MODS folder right?
Reason I'm saying this is that OIV will warn you to update this file - which will overwrite your dlclist and ofc none of your addons will load.
Dear ReNNie, I apologize for what have I done. For my bad bad reputation, I mean it. Sometimes I can be rude, but I will promise you, I will not do it again. Please, Can I have one more chance? One more. I decide I want to make vehicles. Not for me but it’s for the community. I will not do it again, I was stupid in my stupidity. Can I have please one more chance at my old account back? Please, please I beg you, I'm sorry, very I am.
@Epix At first I had zero interest to spawn the new DLC because I only use addon vehicles for cars (with a few exceptions such as the insurgent).
So many people were having this problem and at least 2 or 3 said they easily succeeded that I decided to try myself.
I followed their steps, launched GTA5 with all my mods, and tried 3 different ways (Menyoo, addon vehicle spawner mod, and c# with LemonUI) to spawn.
Either nothing happened (C#) or Invalid Model (Menyoo), or "Wrong version of GTA" from addon vehicle spawner because it correctly saw I had downgraded GTA5.exe to bypass the SHV that no longer works.
So I verified all my steps. Went into OpenIV.
Were the DLCs there? Yep.
Could I see the vehicles like Euros? Yep.
Was my dlclist.xml updated for MPTUNER without syntax errors (after about 300 manual entries, I think have the process down).
Next I experimented, Steam Version. Only constant was that GTA5.exe had to be the previous version - if not, no Mods.
I basically tried every combination, and they are limited, and nothing worked. Either game would hang during launch, or launch but not allow spawns.
In summary I tried.
The steps that those who had succeeded posted.
Having MPTUNER also in my mods folder
Downgrading my mods version of Update.rpf
Upgrading my mods version of Update.rpf
Downgrading my mods version of Update.rpf but adding MPTUNER, then downgrading game version of Update.rpf
Made sure my gameconfig was properly loaded in Mods (each attempt)
Tried with a lighter version of my dlcpacks
A few more combos which I know probably didn't make sense out of desperation.
Conclusion: I can't do this on my setup. Likely something is conflicting. My setup is highly customized and tweaked with many edits, a custom ped addon process which I created, etc. So my game is definitely full of variables.
Anyway, as I said before have no interest in this DLC but was hoping to create a tutorial - that won't happen.
@finsikesi64 Great news for you. Go into your GTA5 installation folder, also called the root folder.
In there you will see a file called dinput8.dll (microsoft direct input).
Temporarily rename this file anything you want. For example rename it with a dot at the beginning, .dinput8.dll (will be easy to find) or dinput8.bak - whatever you want.
Start your online game. That's it. Next time you want to play SP, just rename it back to the correct dinput8.dll name.
Want to do this automatically, create a batch file that renames and then launches GTAV.
What happens with Steam (not sure about Epic) if you forget to do this and accidentally try to go online. Your game will be deleted automatically and you will be banned for life. Ok, just kidding. Nothing will happen. You will simply get a warning that you are trying to go online with a modded game.
So rest easy. No need for duplicate games. One file renamed. That's it. That's all.
@JesonMile The only thing you will do with 2 version of GTA5 is use up disk space for nothing.
The whole GTA5 modding process was created to support both versions - modded for SP and un modded for GTAO and SP.
All you need to do, despite what you might read on other threads, is to rename dinput8.dll temporarily and GTA5 will completely ignore 100% of all your mods.
If you find that annoying, create 2 powershell or command prompt batch files that will rename for you and then launch your desired choice.
I use batch files like this myself, and even batch files that allow me to enable or disable mega mods for more stability.
Actually I have 3 versions of GTA5, without really installing 3 versions - by having 2 dlcpack folders.
Un modded GTA 5 by renaming dinput8.dll
Modded GTA 5 with all my addons (I named it DlcpacksFull)
Modded GTA 5 with only key addons for best performance (I named it DlcpacksLite)
I switch between 2 and 3 simply by having a second dlcpacks folder with minimal addons - so very little disk space wasted.
I just rename the one I want to play with as dlcpacks and that's it. Don't need to change dlclist.xml or any other files. Dlclist will not cause any system issues if an addon is listed but not installed (except if you refer to it in a script ofc).
@TwixFroGGer Do you have ENB installed as well? If so check bloom settings. Did you download NVE from Razed patreon? If so, you should have access to his discord and can ask him directly. He would be your best option for any issues or setting adjustments with NVE.
@DAIVIK2629 If you want to change into your addon peds using your controller, download simple trainer, and add the addon peds into the trainerv.ini and then when you use your trainer, go to peds, then addon peds, and select you addon ped. Note: make sure the name of the addon ped is the same in the trainer and the addon folder. Example; the file is batman.ytd, so when you go to the trainer you would name it just batman.
