  If you're doing what's in the video above, stop doing it. If you're not running OpenIV purposely as an admin watch the second video. If neither one helps it could be your antivirus or firewall or UAC settings or folder permission related. Hopefully the cause is one of the two captured in the videos.

  You'll have to research how to package the music if you want to go the DLC route. The other option is to just create a music subfolder off the scripts folder.

  If you're developing in C# I only know of two options.

  new SoundPlayer("./scripts/MySounds/sound.wav").Play();

  If you want more sophisticated, playing mp3s you'll need naudio.

  I've used both but my integrated MP3 player is based on naudio. It was fully written by @JustDancePC and I simply integrated it into LemonUI.

  You can get source code for a much more powerful player here: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/musicmenu

  You'll need to contact the author, also @JustDancePC, for permission or attribution....i don't know what he requires. Even if you don't want a player, just the functionality, you can go through his code.

  @ChevyC Just to clarify, are you saying the game bugs out with mods installed or even without mods installed?
  The troubleshooting normally starts with a fresh vanilla copy (No mods installed).

  If the game doesn't work in vanilla (unmodded) then it definitely won't work with mods. It could be a corrupt save game. Reinstalling won't reset your save game file unless you wiped it yourself. So starting a new game might be the solution.

  If the game crashes with mods installed let us know. That's more complicated.

  @dHopeFeind Then you should contact Rockstar support. They'll be glad to help out. Just let them know your game is pirated so you're transferred to the right agent.

  Unfortunately we can't help here because pirated games are too complicated.

  I'm glad to hear that. Essentially you unzip (7z) the OIV because it's an archive just like any zip or rar or 7z file. Once extracted, inside will be a folder containing all the contents - all the files that will be installed. You can actually peek inside without full extraction.

  Files you definitely don't want to install are dlclist.xml and gameconfig.xml from the OIV - assuming they are in the package, which I don't think is the case.

  Where the files will be installed is spelled out in the file called assembly.xml. This is a text file with the instructions for the OIV, as to what to install and where. You use this file for the manual install. Ofc you could modify this file, remove crap, repackage it, and install with the OIV but that's not necessary.

  If you have difficulties, post the assembly.xml here and regardless, backup key files like update.rpf.

  Edit: In the video, which coincidentally is one version of LC, the package contains files like SHDVD which obviously you don't want - because they are old, outdated versions. Same logic goes for similar files. The heap hasn't changed in years but the packfile was updated a few years ago.

  Have you fixed it? After I increased the wanted level, the game would crash in 10 to 20 minutes, especially when blowing up NPC vehicles.
