@Maceika That thread is a year old. The file that comes with scripthook is the one to use. Not that is seems to matter but SH gets updated and OpenIV doesn't - but it doesn't seem dinput8.dll gets updated. The Microsoft version gets updated however.

The OP was confused, wrongly thinking there were two versions, because OpenIV calls it the Asi Loader and SH has it as dinput8.dll,(aka Asi Loader). Either one however can disable your mods to play online - why? Because it's exactly the same file. Unless he was using a super old version of OpenIV and a new version of SH.

If you delete dinput8.dll manually and then install it as Asi Loader from OpenIV it will be timestamped with the current date, giving you the impression of a newer file. It's not, it's the 2015 version.

What I'm unclear about is the difference between Alexander's Blade version (from 2015) which he claims is his file (copyright) and the Windows 10 version (2019 on my build).

@Tuberculosis why did you install a gameconfig in the first place what mods do you run? You don't need a gameconfig without mods

F7Y0's gameconfig is the best I know been using it for years

Could you recommend some to try? Nearly everything I find on the webisite either crashes or just won’t work. I’m fairly new to gta modding and all the mods I see in YouTube videos and things like that won’t work and I don’t know what to search for on the website either in regards to how I want the game to behave or play.

@JohnFromGWN what should I remove? I tried some of my maps I have made in the past and they do not work, so what conflict between maps could be?

It could also be the replacement mod, however i wouldnt know as i dont use replace mods, i have been told that if you have too many vehicles that are replaced it can cause crashes.

@makavelinow Strange. Try resetting all the graphics and advanced graphics to default? Sorry can't help much more than that.

P.S. Do you have any ENB or visual/graphic modification addons installed? If so, that's likely the cause.

The instructions are in the mod page. You need OpenIV. You put it in Edit Mode.
You take all the files in the downloaded folder (not the folder itself), hit Ctrl A or Select All, and drag them to the folder below.
You will want to backup your files first (or restore them from games folder) in case you don't like the mod - there is no undo, no uninstall.

Replace the files in:
x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streamedpeds_players.rpf\player_one

However, what it should read is
mods\x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streamedpeds_players.rpf\player_one

You want to install in your mods folder, not the game folder.

@grimbobaggins Simple Native Trainer has keybindings enabled by default you can disable them via the in game menu or the .ini that will fix it
