Intel(R) HD Graphics Any Hope?


  • Hi everyone, I have a laptop, I5, 6Gb of RAM, but Intel (R) HD Graphics video card.

    Do I have any hope of playing GTA 5 with this laptop?

    I found some file settings.xml on the internet for poor PCs, but I can not overcome the initial boot start of the game (the one with the fuzzy sirens to understand us)

    Has anyone managed to play this video card? How?

  • @alebal You are below minimum specs, even today's consoles have more power.

  • Intel graphics won't get you more than 10 FPS on medium settings.

  • OK I tested GTA V on Intel HD
    Specs, i5 4440
    HD 4600
    8 GB RAM
    Medim settings - average 12 FPS
    Ultra except for MSAA - 10 fps
    Ultra with MSAA 5-8 FPS

  • @alebal @V4D3R WRONG WRONG WRONG.

    I spent my early days on a Intel HD 4600. The game actually worked, on 28-34 FPS. No low end mods were required. You can do it, just lower the graphics settings.

  • @AHK1221 I'm not lying, I actually tested it. -_-
    In case you haven't noticed, I tested it on max settings. And the medium setting FPS value is "average", at some places FPS drops down to 10, sometimes go up to about 20.

    But maybe I'm still missing something to make you understand my situation I uploaded this video
    This is the first minute of GTA 5 startup with screen resolution of 800x600 and lightweight download settings.xml.

    Is it normal for GTA to do this?
    I can not configure other settings, shadows etc, because I can not overcome this screen, it stays there for a few minutes, then crasch.

    In windows I have these screens where I can configure something ... not much but all I have ...

    @alebal can you post your launcher.txt (in Documents/RockstarGames/GTAV)
    That will tell you something at least.

  • @alebal Please describe all assets you are using.

    This includes hardware, software settings, mods, game options, and OS.

    But everybody else may be right about your computer specs. If anything, you're literally running a PS2, and even that is lower specs than your specs, whatever generation your specs come from anyway.
