[question] altering models in 3ds and then using toolkit crash

just like the title said im having this issue were after i edit i a ydr file i export it using gims evo if i try to edit the embedded textures using textures toolkit the program just crashes although the models work fine in game. do any of you guys know what would cause this? or what i need to do prior to exporting the file? still learning my way around the program
