With new convinient export tools i'm finally start work with Forza Horizon 3 models.

Few words about LODs and optimization. Almost all car converts from Horizon 3, which i saw, has only LOD 0 and LOD 1 with LOD 1 just a copy from LOD 0. Seriously? This highpoly monsters with 200-250k polys without LODs, despite all required LODs can be extracted from Forza? Of course this Chevy will be have all LODs levels and i planning to make it more optimized than my previous converts. Also i reduce any unnecessary or unnoticeable details in L0, or replace them to details from L1, like this antenna:

Exactly my thoughts after taking a closer look at some FH3 models today. It's not even a big deal, it's just one or two additional clicks when exporting the model from 3dsimed. I know people are lazy, but THAT lazy? Come on

@Chezy is more about lods require more steps than people do these days. When doing proper lods you need to map windows again, assign breakable data again. In my case that i like my cars with best quality possible you need to re-do the burnmap on every lod level, copy uvmap channels for dirt support for every lod level and assigning deformation safety cage vertex colors again for every lod level.
All that together can be easly 1-2 more days of work, and people get bored of working on the same car alot, i force myself to stay on a car until i feel confortable with it.
Some models are too heave size wise and dont let space for lods. But copying lod0 to lod1 is plain straight bullshit, that makes the game lag like hell.

@Yarm1995 Looking forward to this! Seeing that you're working with exporting FH3 models you should think about doing the Lamborghini LM002 also. Been wishing someone would.. lol

@westcoastsosa There doesn't seem to be an option on the site itself to set it to English. I usually just use the built-in translator from Google Chrome. If you're looking for the download button, it's the one below the images.
