to change car skin you have 2 options, right? add-on and replace i choose to replace files because i want them to spawn naturally
i use openiv to install car skin in vehicles.rpf as normaly
for ex. i replace original tailgater skin to audi s8, patriot to real H2 it's work perfectly
the problem is some of skin that i install it don't work
i try to change like "dubsta" to real Merc G65 and "granger" to real suburban. in-game it still shown as original skin

@doragung The issue here is that cars are often duplicated in GTA V. Use the Search tool in OpenIV (Tools > Search) to search for the model name of the vehicle you want to replace. Replace all of the results with the vehicle you obtained via zip file.

actually, you would want to replace only the newest one.... so if a file was in x64e and in patchday5, youd replace the skin or file(s) in patchday5 only as that is the newest version, thus it will override the skin available in x64e.

there is another question just pop out according to your reply and @aidenpatrickPGH
if skin are in patchdayX just put new skin files in only that and don't have to mess with x64e, i'm i correct?
how to exactly know where to put skin files or just use search method and see the files is only in x64e or either in patchday
-
@doragung It's mostly required that you do both, because Rockstar has the files in a different place a lot. So one time it's in X64_, other times it's in patchday_ng.
