HELP to identify the problem on my ScriptHookVDotNet.log



  • Hi guys,

    I have a few issues in my ScriptHookVDotNet.log. I would like to understand the content and find how to solve the errors. Here is the ScriptHookVDotNet.log content :

    For the error "Failed to compile 'gunseizure.cs' with 1 error(s):", no one can tell you what's wrong until they see the code within the gunseizure.cs file.

    For the error "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object", it is an error in the No Police Siren mod in your scripts folder.

    Thank you for your reply. About the gun seizure.cs, I will review it later because it seems that there is no big trouble with it.

    For NoPoliceSiren, easy to guess that the error comes from this mod. But what should I do to solve it ?
    I never did scripting and need advice to correct the errors.

    For those following lines, I don't know from which script they come from (and same as above, don't know how I should process to correct them) :

    at GTA.Script.raise_Tick(Object value0, EventArgs value1)
    at GTA.Script.MainLoop()



  • Or maybe all of those lines belong to the same error in the NoPoliceSiren script ?
    In that case, by deleting the script, I will avoid these errors. Am I right ?

    Also do you think that actually the gunseizure.cs error could crash the game ?

    @FryTHF the gunseizure.cs should not crash the game, since it does not compile and so is never loaded into the game.

    Yes, all those lines belong to the NoPoliceSiren script. Just to be clear, there is nothing wrong with your scripthookvdotnet.log, as its purpose is to track any errors that occur in the scripts you have in your "scripts" folder. All it is telling you is that there is an error in the NoPoliceSiren script and the gunseizure script; only the authors of those scripts can fix it!

    Ok.. It means that I couldn't get a correction since the authors seem to not work anymore on these mods.

    So I wonder why I got crashes... Everything is up to date and all modifications in the game files were made properly (Realistic Driving / AI disabler / RBVMDO from ZIPPO / Combat pants for Trevor / Humvee vehicle mod replacement).

    Anyway, now I can only hope that these crashes are random and not every time I play.

    I really appreciate you took the time to help me. So thank you very much. The GTA community is amazing.

    This is one single error, not multiple, and NoPoliceSiren is the culprit. if it is a .cs file we could modify it to prevent the crash, if it isn't, we cannot do much except ask the original author to fix it.

    You should be able to get the same effect (flashing lights without police sirens) with a trainer, I think Simple Trainer features this, although its a menu and not a hotkey.
