Actually before all this stuff with T2, going to the site armed with only the url (dev-c) often didnt work either, i tried a few times in the past and the site wasnt found, but through links or google it did. So this problem could be much older than since the T2 incident.

so is scritphookV really dead there is no more scripthookv? please tell me this nightmare is going to get better not worse ? I don't want to ever play online it sucks with whinny punk kids and trolls and idiots that mess things up and its too expensive T2 needs to fucking die point blank period R* should do away with them this is making my PTSD go up.

P.S. I even showed this situation with my VA rep and he says that the C&D order is fishy as hell not to mention openIV wasn't doing anything illegal at all

Illegal no, but certainly unlawful, in the strictest sense.

The C&D definitely looks fishy, which has given rise to all sorts of speculation (most notably about alleged 'buy-outs' -- which I don't buy, btw). Whatever the case may be, looks like it was really Online cheating (yes, I'm looking at you, Menyoo) that caused T2 to step up, and close it all down.

There's no nightmare, though. Just restore your pre gunrunner install, and just call it. I myself am quite happy to continue to play like that. With a bit of luck, someone will roll a custom DLC of the new cars; but even, when not, no chip off my block, really.

On STEAM, I can continue to play the game indefinitely now. There is only 1 potential danger looming: gunrunner was supposed to be the last DLC, so ere long I suspect Rock* to update our gta5.exe, so it won't require you to be connected to the Internet any more. In itself a good thing, of course; but without a new ScriptHook V, not so good. (Or we'd continue with the old gta5.exe, and then Social Club may decide something is fishy). But maybe I worry too much: we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

The idea came to me the other night that Alexander Blade could have finished scripthook but is waiting for T2's crackdown to die down.

I've seen this idea a few places but in particular, yesterday's release of Menyoo reassured this theory.

Take this with a grain of salt but, remember, looking at events from a positive point of view will always make them easier to cope with.

This may be a little off topic but I just wanted to say thank you @TR71777 for your service. Veterans these days are often overlooked and it's extremely sad because you guys give up your lives to fight for our freedom. God bless you 🇺🇸!

Read it again. There is nothing promising. The OpenIV team (which Alex is a member of) has complied to the c&d and they said they will NOT go to court ( http://gtaforums.com/topic/889348-take-two-vs-modding/page-1 ). So what resolution is Alex waiting for, a wonder?
