Legal issue for creators of mods which need OpenIV to install?

I'm sorry if this has already been discussed somewhere else. So what I'm wondering is, will people who create mods which need OpenIV to install, possibly face legal consequences? I have two such mods on this site

What do you think, should I ask to take them down?
