I heard about Rockstar and TakeTwo trying to clean up all the mods in GTA5... will this site end up going down because of it?

Unlikely.
There's a statement where R* mentions about having no intention of taking down SP modding ( Be note that this is R*'s statement and not Take Two).
It's mentioned in the article. Obviously its a PR statement, so I can't really trust Rockstar much.
