Military vehicles with turret problem after gunrunning update.

I think I know what's the problem. I was playingwith the Merkava IV tank and the tank cannon had a longer range, but the range was exacly the same as the rhino tank. Should you make a mod that gives the rhino tank more freedom for the turret and make a mod to have a longer range for the tank cannon?

So this still aint fixed? goddamn its been 5 months... silly updates... it sucks the turret cant rotate

Well, rip military modding community then, if we can't fix that. My problem is even worse, because every tank that has got more than 1 weapons, crashes the game

@Sargon i think i have a fix . im working on it. Sadly dont have enough time so its slow.
They changed the code . and a few mechanisms i understand it now. I might be able to fix em atleast all of mine, since they need to be edited in zmodeler 3

Did any of you try adding the <RotateBarrelBone /> <RotateBarrelBone2 />
parameters to the custom vehicle weapons?

@Nelson01023 @Sargon i got all the weapons working again. i just need to update all my vehicles in zmodeler 3. figured it out finally.

@Aysarous-Gaming well that's that not the problem.
For example: M142 before gunrunning update had 3 different missile types: Arching artillery, straight shoot missile and grenade launchers.
Stryker MGS had: mainc annon and coaxial MG. You can make it work if you only give it one weapon. Eg: M142 with only arching rockets, Stryker with only main cannon. Yes it works, but it's still not the full features like before gunrunning.

Can be done each weapon controlled individually. Its even better than before gunrunning

@FoxtrotDelta but it still doesn't help in case of the M142 for example, as all weapons use the same turret. To some extent you can create invisible turrets and put the real turret as child inside, so that it will rotate with different weapons. But you can't really do that with the gun elevation as well.
So yea, it's great to have a tank turret and MG station on top of the turret work seperately, but you still can't make coaxial MGs or the Gatling and Stingers on the LAV-AD (for example) properly.

@shephart it only uses 2 weapons, but yea, I kinda found a work around which works more or less. Sadly the models need to be edited, can't be done via data edits only.

13 June 2017I'd have to guess, but I think that quote is just about removing the machinegun so there is no conflict with the main gun. If you set up the vehicle to only have one weapon then there shouldn't be any issue as far as I can remember? (it's been a few yrs so double-check that).

@Turrel81 I have a better way for that! go to: GTA 5 folder/update/x64/dlcpacks/search your mod that has turret problem folder/if you find DLC folder right-click on it/ and then click on "open with"/and then click "search other application"/click "other application"/click "find application with this PC"/ search OpenIV application/when you open it go to "data"/ handling.meta/search for " <Item>VEHICLE_WEAPON_TURRET_INSURGENT</Item>"/ DELETE THAT FILE/ problem solve
