Question about Tagging in Comments

Hallo, i've noticed when i write a Comment to a Mod and i want to Tag somebody who not have posted anything at this Mod and additionally have a "space" in his Name, it doesn't work. For Example:
Is there any Way to Tag those Persons exept the "reply" Button?

I have also Problems to tag People who have specieal characters in the name.
Do only i have this Problem??

@Remix I think it has certainly something to do with the conversion of this Website.
I hope the Admins read this Tread and the issue would be fixed, because this annoys me a little bit..
