Addonprops Installation help
-
Hey guys, so I downloaded Addonprops https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/addonprops and I followed the instructions for setup, but when I try to rebuild after manually adding the prop in the prop editor I get this error
Could not rebuild!
Possible errors:-Your.net framework is not updated to 4.6.1 or highers.
-Some prop values are not in the format. Check againI checked and I have 4.6.1 installed so it must be the second option.
Can anyone help please?

It has something to do with the comma character used in the application. For some reason @Meth0d used
,
instead of.
which makes it unreadable by the meta tool converter. There is a config file in your AppData folder or in the user documents, it's calledapp.xml
if I remember correctly. You need to open this file with a text editor and replace the characters above.

@winject ok thanks let me take a look. where is the folder? in the GTA directory or somewhere on my PC? I would have never figured this out lol

This is the file you need to edit :
<yourAddonPropDirectory>/data/db.xml
Hell, I still don't get why some people manage to run it sucessfully even with such typo.

@winject Thanks a lot! That did it:)

@winject I still get invalid model when trying to spawn so I must be doing something wrong
-
@winject I give up.. I cant figure this out

Anyone else able to install and use this? I really want to use it to finish up my mod

@Dekurwinator Are you sure? I actually ended up getting it to work and I have more than 1 prop. The problem I was having is that after rebuilding the def file was automatically popping up and I was putting it in the dlc.rpf but it was the original def file.. lol so I went to the rel folder and the one I just created was there. Now everything works fine

@Dekurwinator ahhhh I get what you mean
-
@Dekurwinator thanks ill be sure to change it before uploading

Addon Props is outdated. I will not continue it anymore, just wait for someone to do a better tool.
Thanks.
