Help adding vehicle visual upgrades

Trying to add tuner steering wheels for minivan custom (I'm crazy, I know). I've added the YTF files where they need to be, modifed the _manifest to include the items and also added them to the carcol. As there really isn't any information on adding stuff like this and more or less have tried to figure it out myself from going through the files, is there something I'm missing as to why it's not showing up in benny's, is there an item limit? Any help would be appreciated.
