[SOLVED] GTA 5 wont update

When ever I install the new RAGE plugin hook it says this version of gta 5 is unsupported and I have no ideal how to update it now please help I have my game through steam

Right click Grand Theft Auto V in your Steam Library. > Select Properties. > Go to the Updates tab. > Make sure it is set to always keep the game updated.

I have it on always update but for some reason when I last backed up my game through rage plugin hooked it updated and I accidentally deleted a version and no it wont update.

@sirkingnut Try right click Grand Theft Auto V in your Steam Library. > Select Properties. > Go to the Local files tab. > And click Verify Game Cache.
It may take a while for it to scan through your files, but it should detect that something's off and start an update.

It said 9 files failed to validate and will be reacquired now what?
