[MISC] Vehicle: Colored Headlights.

  • I've looked through the forms and online and can't find this idea. Everyday I'm out on the road, I see cars with colored headlights, is this possible to do in game? I have zero modding experience so if someone who knows what they're doing could look into it? There's colored lights on the guns, for the flashlight. So why not colored headlights for cars?

  • @SasquatchGamesToo yes it is very much possible now.

  • @FoxtrotDelta If you use the light method you can't switch the lights on/off manually though

  • @SkylineGTRFreak yea. that is a fact. but yet you do get colored lights! and i think they don't break right?

  • @SasquatchGamesToo Try to look in graphics.ytd it should work by replacing coronas I think or it may work with carcols.ymt there is necessarily a line for the color headlights . i don't really know but you should take a look.

  • @yeahhmonkey i shall surely try. but don't expect much. as i am new to editing files like visualsettings. and currently i like 5 Mods to finish by the end of this month which is about to happen. so time is a limiting factor here. but surely i shall try.

  • If i'm not wrong you can change lights colors in hex in decrypted carcols.ymt lights section

    You can do it like this and set the lights as extras so you can turn them on and off via a script.

  • @Oskar like "light_extra_1" & "light_extra_2"?

  • I'm not sure if there are parts named like that but you can do it with the normal extras like extra_1, extra_2, etc.

  • @Oskar it wont be a light. if i make it extra_1. but those are parts. i think extra_light is also possible. but extra_1 won't be a light. but i get your meaning. we can even use a trainer and make them turn off. that way. extra_1 Good idea. i was also thinking if i put them into a window_rr and then break the window, i am wondering if that would work. but now that i have said it out loud, sounds dumb.

  • @FoxtrotDelta Why shouldn't extra_1 be a light? Isn't this possible since the lights update in ZModeler?

  • @Oskar yea. i just realized, what i said made no sense. ofcourse Extra_1 can have a light inside of it. my Bad

  • @yeahhmonkey if the extra thing works out. we won't need to change all lights. just the lights of the cars we make in zmodler 3
