New Update Causing Random crash ?


  • Ever since I updated my game to gun running version, some random crashes keep happening.
    I tried to disable all the dlc to a amount which I used to have in previous version, but the crash still happening.

    *I found the problem is causing by certain peds/ vehicles spawn, anyone knows a way to find the one which causing my crash ?

    btw my mods are all the same as before I update the game.

    Take a look in your launcher.log file,
    C:\Users\User\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V
    when your game crashed but not because mods, you will get a fail code "107" example... and this fail code search in google

    I found there are several codes but I do have Code: 107 (LAUNCHER_ERR_GAME_CRASHED)

    So that means my game crashed because of this code 107?

  • @alex20121981 I am guessing my update.rpf went wrong when I was putting mods into it after the new update. I'll see if that is the cause

    btw I know the problem is cause by some error from peds spawn, but not sure it's model or animation or even other things related to peds. I tried to delete some mods but nothing seemed to work so far

    have nothing to do what you have in game (mods)

    you have to check "device lost"......

    Try disconnecting unused USB / Firewire / third-party devices like controllers, cameras, scanners, audio interfaces etc...

    disable all recording devices in windows control panel => sounds => recording devices (is the speaker symbol in the right down corner, right click to open menü)

    open device manager (Start, right click) and in Audio- Video- Gamecontroller , Disabled all Sound devices which are not used

    Change in Game from DX11 to DX10.1

    I have the informations from diffrent Forums, steamcommunity,
    Rockstar Support...
    For me was point 3 and 4.... and now i think a good week without game crash

    I have Windows 10.....
    Now 10 days without any crash

    And my "device lost" problem was
    "Realtek High Definition Audio" ......
    Just Disable in Device Manager

    Hello I have same problem
    Windows 10

    I have disabled any HDMI and devices
    But still Crash randomly

    I didn't disable Realtek High Definition Audio
    And DX11 to Dx10

    Maybe I have to try change DX10 and disable Realtek(I'm not sure My Motherboard have Realtek Definition Audio)

    Anyway I will keep it touch

  • Please help me. I'm freaking out! Suddenly I'm having the same problem since yesterday afternoon! Identical log.
    I have Windows 10, Gta V updated to the latest version, Rockstar edition.
    The only mod I have installed is menyoo and when I load my map the game crashes and causes this error to log!
    Help me.. I don't know where to bang my head anymore
