@SkylineGTRFreak hmm. What sirensetting did you out in the carvariations.meta and which siren numbers did you use? Are you saying the flashing lights do work in the predator slot or just the marker lights? I'm sure it's possible, as you said that dinghy has done it.
What vehicle layout did you end up using? Hopefully it can fit a full 4-6 passengers. I think all the default boat layouts have no more than 4, but I can make a custom layout like for the heli if you add the bones.

@PNWParksFan you can make custom layouts? For boats? @SkylineGTRFreak once you finish, can you send the unlocked zmodeler file to @Oskar so he can see if he can fit an m240 on the bow? You can always release it later as an update.

@nathanjamesddg151 yes you can make a custom seating layout for any vehicle by modifying vehiclelayouts.meta. You're limited to the clipsets and behaviors of built in layouts but can mix-and-match them as desired. For example, @SkylineGTRFreak is working on an update to the Jayhawk heli and I am making a custom layout for it so it can fit 8 peds, including one in a stretcher. For the Defender boat I'd probably mix layouts from the predator and dinghy to get the right mix.

@PNWParksFan ah. The Nathan James has this problem where you have to spawn into the vehicle and when you exit, you might fall through the boat and into the water.

@PNWParksFan used sirensetting=1 and siren18+siren19 as vehicle objects. siren18 also emits lighting, siren19 doesn't
@nathanjamesddg151 I wanted to release the vehicle unlocked anyway, as emergency vehicles often find people who want to edit them

@SkylineGTRFreak 19 isn't enabled on sirensetting 1. Try 17+18.

I think the way it works (I'm not certain though) is that the corona emits from the position of the bone, even if it's just a dummy. To actually have a lit up texture though you need to make the material of the siren bone emissive. The game will make the siren bones's material alternate between visible and not visible as it flashes. Any kind of lens/cover should be as the siren glass part, and should be above the siren part

@PNWParksFan Coronas etc work fine, it's just that one Siren actually casts shadows and lights up the surroundings while the other one doesn't

@SkylineGTRFreak that's expected. Not all of them do environmental lighting by default. It can be adjusted through carcols.meta.

@SkylineGTRFreak I think 5 or 6 might have environmental lighting by default. I'm on my phone right now but can check later when I get to a PC.

@nathanjamesddg151 I'm sure that's something that can be dealt with through layouts changes. What layout are you guys using right now? As far as I know there's no limit to the number of possible seats on a vehicle. With a custom layout we could make "seats" for all kinds of different positions on the ship.

@PNWParksFan Alright, I'll check that later as well, though "I have to" release the first version now, as I don't know if I will be able to do that later. File is unlocked (as I said), so if needed maybe someone else can edit it if I myself am unable to.

@SkylineGTRFreak as long as the lights work at all I can make them behave as we wish through carcols changes anyways. 👍

@SkylineGTRFreak it would probably look weird on the James, but it looks great on the Defender. Messed around in GTA with it, soooo much better. Like I said earlier @Oskar might be able to get an M240 on the bow and have the coasties shoot at the player via script. Wishful thinking, but it's possible.

We are working on adding more seats.
(This is a screenshot with peds I added by spawning and attaching them with a script, they're not in actual seats. This is just for testing purposes in determining where to position the seat dummies to make this actually possible later on with real seats. They're just statically attached at the moment, so they can't do any animations or get in/out.)

OK, now I have it actually working in-game! In the screenshot below, every ped is in a seat of the vehicle! Thanks to @FoxtrotDelta for his help. We are continuing to make some other adjustments to the model as well, and I am still working on the meta files to get the entry/exit animations to work more smoothly. Peds in any of the outside positions can shoot weapons. The peds on the bow and hanging on while standing up can even fire 2-handed weapons like assault rifles.

@PNWParksFan i forgot to give siren 18 and 19 polygon id's. will upload updated one with polygon id's in it. that way corona and siren's polygon itself will give lights. sorry i missed this step. seats looks cool

@SkylineGTRFreak @nathanjamesddg151 @SkylineGTRFreak I got the weapons working on the James (without the meshes but they are working now)! The doors are now working, too! The sea plane handling thingy works and I also succeeded in removing the flying ability from it.
