@SkylineGTRFreak Doesn't Call of Duty 4 have a level that takes place on a ship? Perhaps we could take some elements from the remastered version (like the bridge) and incorperate them into the James.

@CANAL-EMBRAER-GTA my aircraft carrier is also missing, weapons and doors for past 2 months. and also @SkylineGTRFreak 's nathan james is also missing weapons for past 7 months. so far there is no good way for weapons, to work on boats. and other handling files with changed vehicle type. don't work as intended.

Maybe not the best place to ask, but I saw in a video on youtube from @Doctorgta a real cool presidential limousine with seemed to be The Beast, it was converted by @SkylineGTRFreak it said in the description.
I couldn't find it online, is it unlocked or is it a private mod?

@patrickprof rule of thumb is if you see something posted by DrGTA it's probably fake. Skyline has said before that there aren't any good 3D models of The Beast.

I haven't read that comment of SkylineGTRFreak but thanks for letting me know. I won't buy anything illegaly, If I have to buy a mod I want to know for sure who made it and who helped build itanyway, thanks for letting me know this information, I appreciate it!

@patrickprof I don't think his stuff is fake, but he sells his mods, and his mods contain copyrighted content that he cannot sell, which is illegal.

Just a note about trying to use seaplane handling. The game will register it as a plane, not a boat. This will really mess up any scripts which depend on knowing the vehicle class.

@PNWParksFan if it can be a plane and sail on water, then i think , there won't be any scripts needed.

@Oskar share the seaplane handling with me, that you think , shall work a bit. i shall try and fine tune it. with/on james. if you don't mind. i do understand if you want to take your time, and do it yourself.

I'll share the handling once I'm back. It only removes the flying ability and includes some basic tunings so it will still feel like a small boat.

@Oskar what I mean is 3rd party, unrelated plugins that check to see if the player is in a boat. For example, I'm working on my Coastal Callouts mod for LSPDFR which is basically a coast guard mod. It does a bunch of complicated stuff, a core aspect of which is knowing if the player is in a boat or not. I can try to find out if there's a way to specifically detect seaplanes I guess. But I'm just saying there may well be other mods which depend on understanding the vehicle class that the player (or another ped) is using. It can also mess things up like trying to give a ped a task to use a vehicle. If I want to have AI peds drive a boat to a coordinate, I can easily do that. I don't know if that'll work with seaplane handling or not.

@PNWParksFan Well if that's the only way to get the weapons working (still got some other backup ideas in mind) then modders who want to include the James in their script somehow have to check for the model hash.

@Oskar if it's just for large one-off, unique ships like the James that's acceptable, but I would caution against applying this method to small craft.

@CANAL-EMBRAER-GTA whoa! So the turret works, but it doesn't fire, is that what you're saying? Is the up/down movement from you controlling it?
If that works, we can easily make a script to actually fire the rounds and make the muzzle flash.
