I don't get the point of trainers...

I tried it once when I first got this game two years ago, but it just seemed like a control panel to access things that are silly/entertaining for children. Was I missing something? Can anyone give me some useful purposes commonly used, that maybe I missed out on/missing out on?

@Spud ScripthookV is the base you need for proper GTA modding. It's needed for all scripts and used for the script to load your game from the mods folder. It is not just a childish script or anything like that.

I don't get the point of modding.
I tried it once when the game came out, but it just allows us to make the game more entertaining which is quite childish in my opinion. Or am I missing something?

I've seen eshenk post more than once, it seems he's only interested by realistic californian real life serious mature mod , and consider all other mod as useless and for kid or even as shit and don't hesitate to vote a 0.5 star for each mod that are not realistic one, real life texture one, californian themed one and make useless post about the fact he hate that mod even if he don't test them
( and again i don't talk about xenophobe post after each attentat to promote your hate on stranger or your usefull " hum whut ?" answer for people that are not good in english xD)

@eshenk Is simple, is a game, mean for entertaiment. GTA V is based in a cartoonished style, just see the peds, the proportions, the vehicles, the world variations, etc. Everything is just a big scenary for a parody about social problematics in the world. For real life simulators, nothing is so real like open the door and take a passage along the cities.
Now, why do mods unrealistic, fantastic or surreal? For the same reasson to see a movie, read a book, listen an history in a song, we need the experience of no possible things, see them at least. The real life can be tragic and bored, but in videogames you can have a Maserati in your garage or fly or use anormal clothes, etc lots of options in a trainer to modify your virtual life and not following the wishes of game developers (you know, GTA V single player mode is a boring experience without mods, totally abandoned by developers). Mod means modifications, you can personalize your game, but no all people wants to live a photorealistic gaming experience to take a bus, go to job and return to home in a videogame.

Please take this coloring book and exit GTA immediately. I think trainers enable easy roleplay, and honestly, makes the game a bit more fun at least for me. Trainers basically make you the God of GTA.

Now that I think about I don't use trainers either but then again I really only play on console. Trainers are just good for testing out mods if you're a creator and screenshots ( Night/Day Cycle, Etc). Damn come to think about I don't use trainers for that either
. Trainers are like cheat codes, they're fun for five seconds and then it's back to the gritty survival shit meaning no cheats. That's how I look at it. If you like cheat codes you like Trainers. Nothing wrong with that tho

Using it to spawn cars is what I use it for primarily, or healing whoever I'm playing as, as well as modding a car without having to go to a LSC, and teleporting.
