Car sounds suck don't you agree? Project car sounds!? :D Remind me whos the sound engineer in this forum?

@rastakilla I see, yeah want to focus on engine noise only, but that is definitely one solution.
Anyways for my audio setup, read my specs under my profileHere is the summary of my audio chain/setup (this is sort of mid end setup in for audiophiles I guess, but works for the most part):
PC (source)
--> Soundblaster X7 DAC/Amp External Sound Card (in direct mode)
--> Schiit Lyr 2 Hybrid Amp (with some Philip tubes, don't remember actual name...)
--> Beyerdynamic T90 Headphones with Brainwavz Pleather Earpads

@rastakilla
Frequency needs to be the same as the file (ie 48000hz)
Bit rate needs to be 16 bit
It must be a WAVE file

I just ripped some nfs mw 2005 and carbon audio files because they come with a engine and exhaust acceleration & deceleration sounds (granular sounds), along with static frequencies (used in STREAMED_VEHICLES).
It would be so easy making GOOD engine sounds if the game prioritize the static frequencies instead of the goddamn granulars, because granulars are chopped in a way that only rockstar knows, low/mid/high tones need to match perfectly to the game code to be perfectly audible....
Whilst static frequencies just need to be pitch-edited proportionally to the current car's RPMOh god don't tell me Rockstar just may be using this tool for sounds...

any sound mod made just sounds like highpitched air for some reason
-
@rastakilla probably, if not it's then something like that!
-
@dannythezuko So this sounds awesome. I see it's been a while though, so did you ever make any headway on this mod? GTA still sounds like ass, haha.
-
@Res92 This was made recently. Tested it out and ya raises the volume of cars making them sound louder. Two versions available but the blaster version clips the audio. Standard version is what I use and sounds great.

If you want to further increase the sound mods, my mod takes away the useless sounds around the city, reduces the volume of collisions and explosions, and raises the Bass of most bikes and some cars. I'm working on a new quieter but heavier Thunder sound and improved Bati and Ruffian sounds.

@InfiniteQuestion Cool, i'll give it a try. But do you know if this messes with online gameplay? Can i be banned for using this?
-
@Res92 You will get banned using any mod online. This is just for single player
-
@InfiniteQuestion Oh, I see. Well thanks anyway. I watched the demo on your mod page and the cars sound better, for sure.
