Correct names for add on cars?

Hi all i am using a large add on car pack and menyoo. i would REALLY like to have the correct car names show up in menyoo. instead of whats showed there which are just the file names or whatever.
I do see a car list.ini in my GTAV, do i need to change the names in there? or in openIV? ( i have openIV knowledge).
please help!!

Menyoo vehicles are assembled at runtime and have nothing to do with the rpf files. I don't use menyoo anymore but iirc those vehicles are defined in XML files. If those don't contain a vehicle name tag you're out of luck. Ask Mafins for help in this case. He could implement such a name tag.

Can you post a screenshot of what you mean? As @Cyron43 indicated, Menyoo vehicle mashups are just that. They should have a specifyable name in the files though.
If you're talking rpf add-on vehicles, I'm not sure how Menyoo handles those. If he uses the pretty name, they will show up if the Add-On creator bothered to correctly configure their files and he might handle lazy cases to just show the model name. If not using the gxt stuff, you can ask him to do this in the next update.
More info would be neat.

@Silentghost In vehicles.meta, you could try and match each <modelName> with <gameName>. But for addon DLC's, the latter rarely seems to yield useful names.

@Silentghost download real life vehicle names. And inside you will see a global oxt file. So the way i did it was Type the spawn name of the vehicle on the left and the right side is the actual name you want it to show up when it spawns. I will give you an example of part of my list.
16CHARGER = 16' Dodge Charger 16STI = 16' Subaru STI 67SHELBY = 67' Shelby GT500 69NOVA = 69' Chevy Nova A8AUDI = Audi A8 A8FSI = Audi A8 FSI ACR = Dodge Viper ACR AHVIPER = BF4 Viperso 16charger is the spawn name of the car but when i spawn the car it shows up as 16' Dodge Charger

Thanks guys. useful info. i had figured out the vehicles.meta and the <game name> but it seems to accept a limited number of characters
i will try meimeiriver's method.
