@Global-Moderators
why my mod V-class update didnt get approved 4h ago !!
-
@Faysal haha been just 4 hours ey. please wait a while when im creating mods away from pc . and well others might be busy. 4 hours is a reasonable wait time. i'll get it done. wait a sec.
-
@FoxtrotDelta no bro 4h for update so late update should be approved right away 4h should be time approve for the first upload i think
-
@Faysal its done by human beings. can't be done right away unless administration gives automatic Mod approvals. till that time human factor is there. time zones. work load. etc.
i have approved it. Also you forgot to give changelog on new version upload on that file. and no version number was there i gave it 2.1 version number just fictionally
from myself.
-
@FoxtrotDelta thanks the changelog was ther on number 2.2 i just fixed the version it 2.2 thanks again really appreciated
-
@Faysal k
-
@FoxtrotDelta my time zone is GMT so I'am offering my service as moderator if there is any avalable place
-
@FoxtrotDelta @Faysal Back when Rappo was admin wait time was only half an hour or a complete hour, not 4 hours... a lot of mods stopped being mods you know.
-
@Faysal @krashadam We have enough moderators in different time zones and the process is quite fast. Even rappo stated "[the verification] process can take up to seven hours depending on the timing of the upload". Also, automatic mod approval system might be introduced in a couple of months which will make the process even faster.

TIL Rappo didn't sleep.
-
@krashadam i wonder why 50% of my mods were approved 9 to 10 hours later by rappo, o wait i remember. His reply was sorry i was sleeping.
and i never cared how long it took and still dont care unless it takes more than 24 hours u shouldnt panic!
-
@FoxtrotDelta back in Rappo days i know his time zone it like 7pm in mine i upload mods when i feels like he woke up and having breakfast so i get approved 1.5h 2h at most lol but now 4h for only update approval that damn late when updates must be automatic approved i think any way we know the bunch work on all moderators and lack of time and still they doing great job at least i'am not complaining unless it our beloved site and we've been here since day 1
glad to be part of it
-
@Faysal that 4 hours could have been 6 hours if u had not messaged me or made this topic as others were sleeping and i was and still am deep down creating a mod . i approve mods while the game loads or zmodeler 3 takes ages to uv map 1 million polygons

@Dark0ne I also did say

How is it you can easily misinterpret almost ALL of my posts? I stand utterly confused..
-
a lot of mods stopped being mods you know.
To be perfectly honest I didn't even understand what you meant when you said that. What does this mean? Could you phrase it another way because in English it doesn't really make much sense.
I just found the quote funny about Rappo approving mods within half an hour to an hour 24/7.

Wow... just wow...

I actually meant during the day.
Only further proving my point of your misinterpretation of literally all of my comments.
-
Ok, but you haven't actually answered my question. What does "a lot of mods stopped being mods you know" mean?
I don't think it's a misinterpretation so much as it is a misunderstanding as I assume English isn't your first language, and it doesn't make much sense in English. Hence why I'm asking for you to clarify what it means.
-
@Dark0ne What else would it mean other than what it says?
A lot of mods, stopped being mods.
A huge drop of moderators.
Users who are no longer mods.
-
Right, so now it makes more sense as you've clarified that you mean "moderators" when you're saying "mods". This is a mod hosting site. We're talking about moderators approving mods. I don't think it's hard to understand why it's confusing using "mods" instead of "moderators" when we're talking on a site about actual mods.
Likely more confusing because I call moderators...moderators...and not mods.
So there we go, now I know.
I actually meant during the day.
Only further proving my point of your misinterpretation of literally all of my comments.Nowhere did you actually say that in the original message though, which is why I found it funny. Obviously, Rappo had to sleep at some point so there were 6-8 hours between approvals for some people in certain parts of the world. But I merely highlighted it because it was humorous. It wasn't an attack on you.

Then this tells me you haven't explored as many forums as I have.
Moderator shortened, is "mod." It's a faster way of calling someone a moderator rather than spelling out the whole thing.

...I didn't have to? It's just I'm usually on during the day and what I meant was it took only half an hour during the day for a mod to get approved. This I know by EXPERIENCE, because I recall have had uploaded my Driver 2 Siren Mod here a year back and it was like 3pm where I was.
I figured that as an admin you'd normally watch user activity, especially when checking for bad comments and nasty users, but that doesn't seem to be.
-
@krashadam i think he already knew that you mean't Moderator when you said Mod. but still even if you read it like moderator yet , the sentence doesn't explain very well. may be i am not bright enough but i too don't understand that quote.
-
Can I give my two cents on y'all attacking Dark0ne

You were being ambiguous and it took me a while to figure out you meant "moderators" with "mods". Yeah, many forums just shorten moderators to mods, but not all forums are literally dedicated to game modifications, and when the word "mod"/"mods" is used, the contact also generally makes it clear. Since this topic about moderators approving modifications, it's not hard to understand that one can misinterpret things when worded so vaguely.

Oh ho ho, 1 mod and call it "experience". I've had to wait half a day to whole days for some mods or updates to be approved. Granted, for one person it was hella quick, but it doesn't make stuff instant either. Granted, days for accepted mods are a bad things and this should be addressed, but you describe the situation like everything has fallen straight in the gutter.
