[HELP] additional vehicles for 1 add-on doesnt load



  • Several months back I had to reinstall windows due to a nasty virus, with reinstalling, I lost all my files for both replacement and add-on. I now have a new install of Windows, an original true copy of Grand theft auto 5 installed and want to get back into modding single player again.
    I did the same process I did before, edit the dlclist, add the dlc to a new folder in dlcpacks, run the game, spawn with a trainer. That worked, but I want to do more than that. I installed a modified gameconfig for the latest GTA5 patch, installed the vehicle, says invalid model. So I took the same vehicle and simply added it to the add-on that worked earlier, still invalid model.

    I have tried:
    EMF (Easy Mod Folder)
    Reyser's replacer to add on
    Albos1125's replacer 5 base
    does anyone know if you have to have the meta or xml files in the folder for it to be 'seen' by gta5 program to have it spawn?

    tried both Infamous trainer and simple trainer, both invalid model.

  • @Quakex64 Assuming you made correct edits to dlclist.xml in the mods folder, my first guess would still be the gameconfig.xml values. You have Willief23's version?

    I used this one:
    https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars theres so many I dont know which one actually works and rather not have to try 8 different ones to see which does... But then again dont really know if its working since I only have one addon. dont know where it actually "kicks in" so to speak to actually work, if you get my drift...



  • @Quakex64 you see how the clock ticks by comparing values inside. You'll see values increased. Those make it possible for the game to hold more model information (yft), handling lines etc.

    But in your case, where you get invalid model in a addon that should work I suspect something is wrong in the meta files.

    Can you spawn an Add-on version that is bound to work? Eg from carface80, Aige, Gta5KoRn, Zievs, GreenAid...?

    I honestly am lost when you say clock ticks and inside values. But, I can try once SH is updated..
    this is was I had the add-on working fine, I put a completely random car in and it gave the error, there was no meta or xml files I changed or add to the working addon, I just wanted to test and see if it would work... I now know that I have to have those files to be able to add more vehicles to already existing add-ons. Thank you for your insight.
