4k monitors, what's the point?

I see a 4k 55 inch TV for 398 dollars at Walmart. I play on a 1080P 40 inch monitor now, but with DSR, I can change resolution to 4K anyhow. So all I would get out of this, is 15 more inches of real estate. Is it worth it?
