Silly question about mod path

  • Hey guys and gals,

Here's my issue; I haven't played in a while and I got back into it, re-downloaded, updated everything, and started downloading some new vehicles.

Well before I could just click and drag the vehicle file to the proper openIV mods folder but I can't do that anymore.
The read-me says "place the '...' folder into [gamefolder]\update\x64\dlcpacks" but I'm having to "extract to a specified folder" and go through windows explorer to add it.
Also, the "dlcpacks" folder that I have access to via the mods has all the patches/mp folders. Is that the right one?

Am I missing something?? I feel like it's a silly step I'm forgetting.

    Thanks in advance!

  • @TacticalATC ReadMes say all sorts of stuff, but what you need to do is,

    1. Extract
    2. Copy and paste the folder containing dlc.rpf to mods\update\x64\dlcpacks
    3. Open the dlclist.xml (it's in mods/update/update.rpf/common/data) and
      add <Item>dlcpacks:\mod folder name</Item> before </Paths>.
    4. Save it, open the game and use a trainer to spawn the vehicle.

  • Thanks! That confirms I've been doing it right. So is there another issue why when I attempt to spawn it says invalid or no mod found? I've tried using the enhanced and simple trainer
