@TobsiCred yes that's why I deleted my post - i posted in anger and then stopped and thought about it.

@TobsiCred As a user but not a modder I just appreciate this is a place to hang out and grab mods and tbh I agree with not having paid mods here and trying to keep things above board and legal but I have no beef with anyone so I'll try and keep it that way. Apologies again for my deleted comment

this site promotes "piracy" since most content is ripped from other games, like all the sports high def cars,planes from simulators,peds from online or console games,and in this day and age models are most of the time done by artists rather then being from the studio.
I'm surprised we haven't got on anyone radar.if we got, the only thing left on this site would be retextures.

@Virus-T1000 said in Feedback required: Rule change regarding showcasing mods not for 5Mods:
@BladeRJ The reason game developers haven't tried to take action against mod sites is because we share mods for FREE. Since GTA3 to GTA IV all mods were free but since GTA5 has come out, some people have been abusing the system trying to sell Game Developers property and artists property which is where things go sour. Piracy is one thing but selling stolen property is another!
There is no such thing my friend, for the models be on this site they were "ripped" in other word, hacked/reverse engeneering to be extracted from the game code with tool assistance.....the models are property of publishers and intelectual property from artists that either sold or leased them under contract exclusive to the game dev. If someone take tvs from a store and put on the street and you happen to find them and give them away, that is still a crime becouse you are in possession of stolen goods.
If someone actually build a model and i saw only a few here doing that, then i would endorse the site suporting them.

@Virus-T1000 "Copyright". Most of the models here on this site are taken from games such as Forza, PCars, and Assetto Corsa. I've had this discussion with @Dark0ne before, and we both agree that if any of those publishers come to this site, we're dead, and there is nothing we can do about it. Because be it free or not, we are still using their copyrighted works against the permissions provided from their EULA.

@Global-Moderators
Is the new rule, in effect since last Friday now, implemented and added in the site's rules?
-
@Virus-T1000 Maybe you are right, but that still doesn't mean that what we do is legally sound. Whether they want to take us down or not, we're still not in the safe-zone, legally.
