.RAR files

Hello everyone

every time i download a mod it just gives me a .RAR file and not a zip file, i've tried to use programs like winrar to solve the problem but nothing works

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

but seriously any help would be awesome

@ALABAMA4x4 rar and zip are fundamentally the same thing, small differences though, like zip archives faster, but whatever program youre using should work for both
