How do you convert SP clothing mods to MP freemode?

I am new to modding so please bear with me. There are so many clothing mods that are made for the sp characters and I want to use them for the mp freemode character. I tried renaming the files so that it can replace the clothes for the mp freemode character but in game the body starts glitching out. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to convert them instead of bothering the authors to convert it. Thank you and sorry for the bad English💩😄
