@DOGBAIT nose alright got it. changing positions. plus no mirror or yo (yes) mirror ?
-
If possible I could do without the mirror. Only if its no trouble?
-
@DOGBAIT the mirror used by pilot to look at the hoist and well underneath.
-
@DOGBAIT make mirror as extra turn off capable ? or completely remove it?
-
as an extra would be great.
-
@DOGBAIT alright it's set as extra 1. removing a few seats inside for peds to stand up and well place for rescue ppl.

Anyone interested in Beta Testing this Helicopter should contact @DOGBAIT for he is the owner of this mod. and mod author.
-
@DOGBAIT if you'd like I can add additional seats with a custom layout. Can have a ped sit out the side door, laying down inside, etc.
@FoxtrotDelta does it have LODs?
-
@PNWParksFan yea it has lods an mipmaps. just not the beta version. if @DOGBAIT want's this. i'll add seats and u can do the layouts. totally his call.
-
Guys, this is such a brilliant amount of work. If anything this has surpassed my hopes. My one question is if it's possible to add more exterior lighting ?
-
@DOGBAIT indeed it is possible!. i can light it up like a christmas tree if u say. but that won't be realistic. i plan to add all the lights present on the real thing on this one. no biggy will take 30 minutes max. make a list of features and it will have them if possible. u have time .
also im making the search light 5x brigher and long range in add on. with a slightly faster rotation and pitch of search light beam.
im glad you like it so far. Aviation is my passion. learned alot from @SkylineGTRFreak thanks to him. he is a good teacher.
-
@DOGBAIT i guess im going to make sirens and lights ELS compatible
will look amazing and we have full control over pattern and timings that way.
@PNWParksFan do you agree on ELS being suitable?
-
Thank you so much. It looks incredible.
@PNWParksFan - as someone interested in the Coast Guard side of things - this is a doco on the Westpac 412 conducting a winch retrieval from a stricken coal ship that landed on a beach up the road from my place. In Australia Westpac cover all bases of rescue work be it on land or sea -
-
@FoxtrotDelta personally I think ELS on a helicopter is likely to cause issues, and regular helicopter lighting should be easily achievable without ELS. I suppose it's possible, but I'm not sure what you might want to do via ELS that can't be done natively? ELS in my experience has quite a few bugs and performance impacts which make it unsuitable for use on aircraft.
@DOGBAIT I'll check out those vids if I get some time. I've actually done some research on Westpac recently for my development of Coastal Callouts. You might enjoy this recent video from Aussie youtuber Sergeant Anderson using a Westpac rescue helicopter with Coastal Callouts:
@DOGBAIT if you're OK with Foxtrot sending me the model and letting me make some seat adjustments I can make the 412 model here compatible with Coastal Callouts so it could be used for missions like that.
-
@PNWParksFan yes!!! that is totally okay. @FoxtrotDelta is that all good if you send the model ?
-
@PNWParksFan watching that video - so keen on that taxi mod. Awesome work.
-
@DOGBAIT taxi mod will be released later this week, so stay tuned for that. Of course it won't work on the Bell 412 since ya know it doesn't have wheels.
-
@PNWParksFan re: your video, heres westpac doing a nice cargo rescue -
