[VEHICLE] Jurassic Park/World Vehicle models
-
Before you say "we've got a Jurassic Park mod for GTA V already" that is just a retexture of vehicles already in the game. What I'm requesting is the legit vehicles from the movies. Before modellers pull their hair out, the good news is, some of the vehicles have already been modeled for both GTA IV and San Andreas. I'll link them here:
Safari Ford explorer: https://www.gtaall.com/gta-san-andreas/cars/2390-ford-explorer-jurassic-park.html
Jeep Wrangler: http://www.gtainside.com/en/gta4/cars/44788-movie-cars-pack/
These aren't just retextures either, these are legit models of the actual vehicles.
Those are the only two official movie vehicles that have actual models made for Jurassic Park thus far. There's a few Jurassic World vehicles I'd like to see. Namely, the ACU unit from the movie had some vehicles.
If anyone can fulfill this request, that would be great. At the very least, I'd like the two models above converted to GTA V. Thanks.

Am I the only one that wants this? If I were able to, I'd do it myself, but I'm not.
-
@Glisp The whole community's pretty touch and go. You can't really expect anything, even if it seems kind of obvious. There's like a trillion famous cars that nobody wants to mod, but they'll do all the vehicles from Fast and Furious and some weirdo European cars from the 1940's or something. It sucks when you really want something but got no skills, but in a way that's what's so great about it too, you never know what these crazy fuckers are going to spit out. I mean - yeah, usually you can expect that it's just a conversion of a model that already existed somewhere, but it's still pretty eclectic. Maybe not so much in spite of, but because of that fact. - You can ask, but you pretty much have to go with the flow.
-
@Glisp @futurestoryteller You guys can't expect that someone do things cause only you want it in a mature game like GTA V. In GTA San Andreas and others, the modders were young people with lot of free time after school. In GTA V almost all modders are people with jobs, university and some with family.
You always have 3 choices:
1. Learn how to make mods.
2. Wait for someone interested in your mod idea.
3. (The effective) Offer a fair deal to a modder with donations for his job to make your idea reality in GTA V.

So easy!
2. Wait for someone interested in your mod idea.
That's literally what this conversation was about...
3. (The effective) Offer a fair deal to a modder with donations for his job to make your idea reality in GTA V.
It seems pretty fair to ask, and then if someone wants to, they can do it, or if they don't... then they don't have to. Being disappointed is not the same as throwing a tantrum, or making a demand. This is the request forum. He made a request. Don't turn this into something it isn't.

No offense, but here the only one who turn this into something it isn't, is you. I just offer options, you just offer tantrum.

@MetaGTA No.

@MetaGTA first off, I'm not a fucking modeller
second off I am waiting. The problem is, if I leave this thread alone, it will get buried and forgotten.
Third off I'm not paying money for something that can be made for free. that's why I turned down foxtrotdelta. I'm not paying 25-45 US for a mod to be made. I do have the money, but I'm not going to waste it on a total stranger, so that they can create a mod. Maybe if they were somebody I knew or got to know. Also, Jurassic Park isn't a kids movie if it were it would be rated G or PG, not PG-13. The reason it's rated that is because of sci-fi violence and language mainly, but still. Secondly, dinosaurs aren't just a kid thing, and people that think that are fucking idiots and could really use growing up themselves. Also, the Jurassic Park books are gory as fuck and make the movies seem tame by comparison.
Lastly, if you're just in this thread to ridicule my request, then gtfo of the thread. I've about had it with the GTA community being filled with assholes. Just because you can be an asshole in the games doesn't excuse you being one on the internet. And oh yes, I went there.
I wasn't even asking for brand new models anyway. (that was only if the person wanted to put in the extra time, and effort. I wasn't going to make them do it) I just wanted the two above models converted to a viable GTA V format. If that's taken care of, I MIGHT be able to do the rest of the stuff required to get them working ingame.
Now, if we're all done exchanging banter and acting like jerks towards eachother, I'd like to move on, yes?
Also, moderators and admins, very sorry you had to see that, but I don't enjoy it when someone comes in here with an attitude like that. I wasn't even demanding so there was no reason for him to jump that far.

Hey guys, I was surfing around the web a little. Seems nobody will have to model vehicles very much. There are model resources floating around the web for various JP vehicles. The only thing that would need to be done is converting them to a viable GTA V format.
http://www.spencer1984.com/my_models/jurassic-park-land-cruiser.php
I found this little beauty via google image search. It's based off of the Toyota Land Cruisers used in the novel. (the movies used Ford Explorers instead)
You may have to e-mail the guy for the model btw. I might do this if nobody wants to then I'll just give it to a volunteer that wants to convert it.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for other resources.ACU in Jurassic World actually uses the same vehicle the Dubsta 6x6 is based off of. So all that would need to be made is a texture for that one.
The regular dubsta could also just be retextured. I think, San Andreas uses a port of it actually.... hang on a sec....
https://www.gtaall.com/gta-san-andreas/cars/75764-benefactor-dubsta-jurassic-world-security.html
Looks like it.a better look at the ACU's 6x6 with the alternate livery:
Something I DON'T think could be made very well is this monstrosity:
The trailers are connected via an accordion entrance between them. Don't think such a thing would work well in the GTA V engine. I could be wrong though.Something from the second movie that WOULD be more managable would be this:
I haven't found a 3D model for it yet though.
-
@MetaGTA I agree with bro
-
@Glisp Think I've seen a few extendi-buses here on the site... mostly the foreign buses but if you take a peek at their rigging you may just be able to recreate the bendy-phys for the JP RV
-
@krashadam even if it were possible, I can't even get anyone to convert the models that are already out there to a viable GTA V format so the fact that it's doable is moot. Since nobody wants to model them without getting something in return. I'm no modeller, if I were I'd do it. And even if I succeeded chances are the job would be half-assed like most of the other stuff I do. I'm only saying that because it's true.
Come to think of it, I don't even know how to make a working vehicle add-on. all my attempts have failed and I'm not sure why.
-
@Glisp Posting a request mod here is like playing the lottery. If someone is interested they will make it.
Many modder are busy with their projects or are interested in certain mods for themselves and share to the community.
Modeling is a time consuming job/hobby that we start doing for ourselves and then we share here.
How do you think someone is going to spend 30+ hours in ZModeler and texture, setups, and many test without expect something in return ??
The community is not filled with shitty people, it is filled with people with different interests who create "their own ideas" and share them to everyone.
There's not any other way..... You wait or you learn.
@krashadam do you like female pigtails ? I will upload Tracy's haircut right now. Looks simple beautiful !

where the fuck did pigtails come from? And I don't even like Tracey, she's too fucking high-pitched in her voice, she feels the need to win EVERYTHING, she's just fucking annoying! With a case of ugly, a SERIOUS case.

I've said it time and time again:
I'm more concerned with converting the two models in the OP to a viable GTA V format than I am the other stuff. If I can get those models converted, I can do the rest myself. People in this thread don't seem to understand that. The other vehicles I requested were just extras, but other than the LWJP vehicles, nothing is exactly needing a new model made from what I've seen. The ACU vehicles are literally the same as a mercedes benz which both the regular and 6x6 dubstas are based off of. Plus, the regular dubsta already has a Jurassic World skin made, I just need to extract it from the San Andreas files (someone ported the GTA V dubsta over to SA and made a Jurassic World texture for it)
The only other thing that would need to be made is a vehicle livery for the 6x6. (that I honestly don't know if I can make. I might try though just to humor myself.) I don't really give a damn about the planes or helicopters. (what few there were)
-
@Glisp Only logical part in Your last post is the last part about making livery for the 6x6.
Could You describe Me, what "rest" can You do by Yourself?
-
Mainly vehicle stats, car colors, variations, that sort of thing. Basically, the shit that actually gets the models to work properly after converted and rigged to a viable GTA format. I'm no modeller so getting past the conversion hurtle is the main issue here. If that can be taken care of, I can take the reigns from there and hopefully get the models to appear in game. I know it seems like I'm taking care of the easy part, but believe me, getting an add-on vehicle plugin to work in V is a pain in the ass for me. All my previous attempts have failed. But I'm willing to figure it out just for this.
-
@krashadam hahahaha nevermind just making fun
-
@Glisp "Stats, colors, variations" are controlled by 2-4 files, which each (in case of an add-on) consists of maybe 100 lines of text, in which You are changing only some of them. It is the case, when You want more "complete" mod. Some modders change only the most vital parts in these files. There are "a few" vital lines, all controlled more or less by "simple words or numbers", if You are not modding for the first day. I would say, that the "rest", which You assume You are competent doing on Your own, is about 1/10 of the process, at MAXIMUM. If we sort modding activities by time, then it would be 1/20 (or even less) of the process...
IMHO, I would like to "create stats" myself, otherwise this does not "smell good"...
