New Franklin's Vinewood Hills House - Need file location
-
I want to change the exterior of Franklin's Vinewood Hills House. I already found out that most of the files who affect the exterior of the house are in the folder ch2_05. I would like to change the textures of the walls but i haven't found the associated files yet. Anyone who can help and already did such a change? Please help

@LPBoonio This will be an on-going struggle, I have been where you are at MANY times. I cannot tell you the HUNDREDS of grass textures I have replaced, and am always astounded, when I load up a game an never/rarely see them. It's crazy. The issue is the textures are not always in obvious places, and then when you think you have found what you are looking for, it ends up not being what you thought it was. Seems R* intentionally spread many repeating textures across multiple files, and sometimes a sought after asset isn't even in the archive you believe it should be. It took me a lot of pain just to do Michael's exterior, so good luck, you will need it, LOL...

Rockstar is really almost childish with the obfuscations. From very complex things, like you mention, to silly things like pulling the old switcheroo on names; like you're looking for 'wall_art', and then call it 'art_wall' (and actually with 3 L's to boot); or you want to find an 'armchair', only to realize they call it a 'chairarm'.
Probably the result of dumb, greedy lawyers, who think they'd lose money otherwise; whilst every gamer out there, who's not a complete moron, knows that's the modding community that really makes this game still ticking.

@meimeiriver You are absolutely damn right! Only the modding community is the main reason why i still love playing GTA V.
