Which file controls what ped model spawns in a vehicle in traffic?

  • I would like to remove a certain model from being able to be spawned inside a car. Is this possible?

  • Uh, nothing. The game decides who drives what and where.

Besides even if there were I don't think anybody's accomplished finding this "control file".

There are popgroups, however... search the main site for some...

  • I've customized the popgroups to add gang members to a few locations they weren't before, and add rival gang members in some other neighborhoods but there seems to be an overflow of gang members in cars, and they tend to hop out and attack their rivals, causing huge traffic jams. I didn't know if there was a file or a flag I could remove that had something to do with peds that spawn naturally in traffic, sad to hear there's not honestly but I'm trying to work on this script to change the relationship group while gang members are in vehicles, so they won't jump out and cause havoc.

  • @dev614 I think popcycles.dat is what you are looking for. It's in mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5\popcycle.dat

Thank you for the suggestion, but I've scoured through popcycle, popgroups, ped.ymt, and pedvariations to no avail. I think krashadam may be correct, it could just be handled by the engine. I've got my script up and running since I created this thread, so I'm not too concerned but if anybody does figure out what file does this, it'd still be nice to know.
