mods and achievements

i heard that mods don't disable achievements cuz you are not editing game files, so i installed some asi files and they worked perfectly fine with working achievements.
then i found about some awesome mods, but when i wanted to install i realized u have to edit game files with openiv! so does it break achievements?
i'm playing on pc steam and i still have lots of achievements to get, so i don't want them to be disabled
please help me

@shimpl3 Achievements only gets disabled when you enter a cheat code. Feel free to edit files and I recommend you to install the mods in mods folder!

@Trevor777 wow thank you for reply! some other people told me otherwise but i'm gonna trust ur words and install realistic driving and police mod

@Trevor777 omg thanks man! i installed tons of mods and could get achievement with no problem!
i can't believe people talk out of their ass for no reason.. if u don't know something don't spread false information.. ffs
