When I try to spawn DLC vehicles, nothing happens.

  • Hello,

I have for searched it quite a long time now. I have two mod menus - Simple Trainer and Menyoo trainer. Every time I want to spawn any of the DLC vehicles, on Simple Trainer it says "Invalid model" and on Menyoo trainer I can't see any of the vehicles on the spawn-list. For an example I open the "Super" car-list and I can only see the SP and Add-On cars.

I am running on the latest version of GTA 5 the steam version.

I have the "mpsmuggler in SP" installed, and it doesn't help. I guess the problem is that I don't have the cars installed, but I tried to play on GTA Online, to force download the cars, but that didn't help either.

I got my computer cleaned, after that I needed to reinstall everything. Before that everything was working, I have never had issues with modding before.

I am out of ideas, can anyone recommend anything?

I am on Windows 8.1 right now, and my PC is powerful enough to handle these mods.

If there is something that you don't understand or there is a need for a further explanation, please leave it in the comments.

    Thank you in advance!

I am not a native English speaker, sorry for any mistakes.

Right. This should get you started. (you can skip any parts you have done or have installed already. I'm just being thorough as I don't know what level of modding expertise you have).

    1) - Download & Install OpenIV: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/openiv
    2) - Download & Install Enhanced Native Trainer: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/enhanced-native-trainer-zemanez-and-others

Note: You should ALWAYS use a 'mods' folder. To create a 'mods' folder create a new folder in your main 'Grand Theft Auto V' folder & call it 'mods'. You then copy (copy, NOT cut or move) from your main 'Grand Theft Auto V' folder:

    The 'update' folder
    All the x64a-w.rpf's
    & 'common.rpf'

& paste them into your new 'mods' folder. (you can copy the 'x64' folder too if you plan on editing the sound of the game)

    3) - OpenIV & go to:

'Tools' tab (top leftish) > ASI Manager > & install the 'ASI Loader' & 'OpenIV.ASI'
(you can install 'openCamera' too if you use Rockstar Editor & want better camera boundaries)

    4) - Now, still in OpenIV, go to:

    Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpsmuggler\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\mpsmugglervehicles.rpf

Double-click on one of the .yft files & a second window should open showing the model. The name before the '.yft' or the 'hi_.yft' is the spawn name for that vehicle.

    Example:

    hunter.yft
    hunter_hi.yft
    rapidgt3.yft
    rapidgt3_hi.yft
    etc

If you have got to this part & you either do not have a 'mpsmugglervehicles.rpf' or it is empty or the entire folder structure is missing then the vehicles are not installed & you will have to look into what went wrong & find a way to reinstall the dlc's.

If you have been able to open the '.yft' & see the model then the model IS installed & by all rights it should spawn in-game.

    5) - Load up the game & press F4 to open Enhanced Native Trainer (ENT) (Numberpad 2, 4, 6 & 8 to move, 5 to select & 0 to go back).
Scroll down to 'Vehicles' & select it (5).
    Then scroll right (6) once.
Select 'Disable Despawn of DLC Cars' & a tick will appear.
Now, press 4 to go left & at the top select 'Vehicle Spawner'.
Scroll down (2) & select (5) 'Enter Name Manually' (a black Title box will appear).
Type in the name of a car from one of your dlc's (rapidgt3 for example) & hit Enter.
    The car should now appear.

If you still get an 'Invalid Model' error then there is definitely something wrong. It could be a lot of things & we'll just have to look at them one by one after you let me know.

Write down the names of a few cars from various dlc's before you load up the game & try them out to see if you get the 'Invalid Model' error with all of them or only some of them. Experiment spawning various cars from the various sections in ''Vehicle Spawner' too. They are sorted by category ('Cars', 'Industrial', 'Emergency & Military' etc). See if you can figure out what spawns & what doesn't & let me know how you get on
    Best of luck.

  • @JonaQ Hey,

    Thanks for replying!

As I wasn't sure someone was going to reply, I reinstalled my whole GTA 5 game, and got things working again. I think something went wrong while modding or something made the DLC cars unavailable. You went into very small details, and everything was understandable. If anyone ever has the same problem, they can get it fixed too, atleast let's hope so!

    Have a nice one!
