HELP ME! gta v not detecting addon cars

  • gta v not detecting addon cars ,why?

  • check your dlclist file , also make sure everything is made in the mod folder

  • Do you use Addon Car Spawner?

    Do you install the addon car in mods folder or game folder?

    The latest version auto-detect addon cars, if you have installed correctly everything, GTA will detect the new car.

    General procedure to install an addon car:

    1. insert the addon car folder into DLCPACKS folder in /update/x64/dlcpacks/
    2. With OpenIV, Add the line (without quotes) "
dlcpacks:\nameofthecarorpack\
" (Usualy embended with the addon car in ReadMe file, if not, replace "nameofthecarorpack" by the name of the folder.)
    3. After that, test detection by installing Addon Car Spawner or use it:
      https://fr.gta5-mods.com/scripts/add-on-vehicle-spawner
    4. If the car isn't detected by AddonCar Spawner, check the DLCLIST.XML line (only in update.rpf from update folder), because the game doesn't do any error.

    My method to never get any error: Use carefully the GAME folder and never the MODS folder. I recommend to backup your game in RAR file before doing it ! ;) (Warning: this method is for non-online player or player with two installation folder.) (You can use mods folder, but can cause many errors...)

  • 1.DLCLIST.xml and GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks... is
    they are checked and work but add-on cars are not working and I cant spawn
    2.addon spawner not detecting addon cars in the GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks folder location

  • Mine weren't showing up either, namely Rmod's BMW I8, the Lexus GS 350 cop sedan.
    You need to edit the DLClist and ExtraTitleUpdateData files and create a new folder in "update/x64/dlcpacks" and name it whatever the text file says to.

    Always make a backup of the files just in-case. Not many people will hand over a unedited file because they look at it as "piracy".
    Here is a quick video to show you exactly how to install a add-on.

    Also keep in mind, the more add-ons the more of an impact it will have on your FPS if you add them into regular traffic.

    1 ) - You can use this code block format to post your dlclist.xml here.

    Example:

    ```xml
    Paste dlclist.xml contents here & then post everything from ```xml to ```
    ```

    It should then appear like this when you post:

    <SMandatoryPacksData>
    	<Paths>

platform:\dlcPacks\mpBeach\

platform:\dlcPacks\mpBusiness\

platform:\dlcPacks\mpChristmas\

platform:\dlcPacks\mpValentines\

platform:\dlcPacks\mpBusiness2\

platform:\dlcPacks\mpHipster\

dlcpacks:\patchday16ng\

    	</Paths>
    </SMandatoryPacksData>

    2 ) - Use OpenIV to copy the path of the car's .yft (right-click on car's .yft > 'Copy Path') & paste it here.

    Example:

    \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\pruf\dlc.rpf\x64\vehicles.rpf\CARNAME.yft

    3 ) - Also copy the path of your dlclist.xml & paste it here as well.

    Example:

    \mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml

    4 ) - Perhaps try a different Trainer https://www.gta5-mods.com/all/tags/trainer. I favour ENT but it's personal preference :thumbsup:

    5 ) - Check any .log file you have in your main GTA V game folder as it may point to what is wrong. Look for 'error' or at the last line in the log for clues as to what is broken.

    6 ) - What version of Scripthook & the game are you using?

    7 ) - Do you have a 'dinput8.dll' in your main GTA V game folder? Try using OpenIV's ASI Manager to reinstall any plugins. In OpenIV select 'Tools' > 'ASI Manager' > Uninstall & the Reinstall 'ASI Loader' & OpenIV.ASI'
