What each file does yft - ytd - _hi.yft
Hi all, Just wondering, If I want to replace a in-game car but keep the handling of the in-game car what file do I leave. the 3 common files are .yft - .ytd - _hi.yft. At a guess I think _hi.ytf as it's the smallest file out of all 3 files.
Is that doable or not? Thanks.
@Techno489 yft, ytd and _hi have NOTHING to do with handling so do as you wish
Thank You. I put a van in over a muscle car but now handles nothing like it did before. goes higher then it should off jumps and rolls over on corners. I don't think the game has a concept of top heavy cars, only that the car should handle as the game was told how it should handle. That's what lead me to think maybe one of the files holds handling configuration.
@Techno489 No it does not u just replaced the wrong car with ur mod had the same problem befor if u replace the same mod on another original car u maid not have that roll over problem if u have a van mod replace a van from the game. what van mod u have?

.yft is a model file containing all LODs.
_hi.yft is a model file containing only LOD0.
.ytd is a file, where all the textures are stored.
Handling settings are in "handling.meta", search in OPENIV for that file and when You open it, search for Your car name there. You can create Your own handling in that way.
For editing the handling.meta, You need to drag that file onto Your desktop and open with notepad. Later just drag it back into the program

Do the number increase or decrease how the car performs.
If I wanted the car to have less roll lower suspension and better handling.
Just an example is all I ask.
