[REQUEST-INFORMATION]How to prevent OIV from shutting down
-
OpenIV keeps shutting down when I get into the game which is really annoying when you're modding.
No clue why, I cannot find a setting for this in OIV, that would help me prevent this.Anyone a clue?
And I am not talking of the ShutDown by R*, but the program closing on me.

@Sammy1970 The files are locked as long as the game runs. This is done by Windows to prevent data corruption due to concurrent write attempts. That's a good thing and there is nothing you can do about it. You can either run the game or OIV but not both at the same time. The game wouldn't recognize the changes you made with OIV anyway as long as it's not restarted.

@Cyron43 Thank you, Sir.
I am aware of the game not taking changes while active, but quitting the game, starting up the OIV and head to where I was is quite a bloody nag to me.
If it just stayed open, so I could work on where I left of to test, quite a wee of time would be spared out.GTA 5 taking like 2 minutes to fire up on itself (Story Mode) is already incredibly frustrating to me (I have the patience of a Sith Lord, the temper of a Krayt Dragon), having to do this hundreds of times a day is just maddening.
If only there was for instance a way to prevent GTA from loading the SC, do account check, file check, ..., and boot straight into the game, MUCH time could be spared out.
But it is what it is, I guess...

@Sammy1970 Tell me about it. It took me a whole day to get the handling for the BMW i8 right. I just wish we had the realtime handling editor back then.

@Cyron43 And that was just the handling...
Imagine you take on a large project by yourself...
Or with others, but...
