HELP ME! How to Fix Double Shadow ?

  • hello guys. I have installed "MAKE VISUAL GREAT AGAIN 2.65" and i have this problem -> alt text help me plz how to fix

  • @GeorgianLORD
That's Ambient Occlusion (AO). It is supposed to be there. Although I do agree it has to be set correctly or it can look horrible.

You can remove it by either:

A ) - [Simple] [Quick] Turning Off Ambient Occlusion in GTA V Graphics Settings (this will turn ALL (landscape, props, peds etc) Ambient Occlusion OFF not just the effect under your car).
Note: If you want some AO but not too strong try 'Normal' instead of 'High'.

    or:

    B ) - [Longer] [More Choice]
If you do not already have it installed you will need OpenIV to access game files. Always use a 'mods' folder
In the 'w_*******.xml' weather files (w_clear.xml, w_extrasunny.xml etc) in the 'timecycle' folder here:

    \mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\timecycle

there are parameters that control AO

    	<light_amb_occ_mult> 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000</light_amb_occ_mult>

    	<ssao_qs_strength> 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000</ssao_qs_strength>

If you just want to reduce the effect under only vehicles '<light_amb_occ_mult_veh>' is what you are looking for. Lower the numbers (13 total for different times of the day) to reduce the effect.
Note: There are 2 sets of each parameter in the w_*******.xml timecycle files. One for 'GLOBAL' (Countryside) & one for 'URBAN' (City) so you will have to edit both (they don't have to be the same or anything)

  • @a63nt-5m1th thanks. is there any alteration in graphics? in visual or imagery... because i like mvga...

  • @GeorgianLORD

    Editing:

    <light_amb_occ_mult_veh>

will change how dark the Ambient Occlusion (AO, what your red arrow is pointing at above^) is under vehicles. Higher values are darker, lower lighter. That is the only thing that setting will change about the graphics. Everything else will look the same.
Note: There may also be '<light_amb_occ_mult_veh>' settings for certain areas in 'timecycle_mods_1/2/3/4.xml' (also in timecycle folder) that you will have to edit to get rid of AO under vehicles completely. Depends on how the files have been modded previously, do a search in the files for 'light_amb_occ_mult_veh' & change the values accordingly. You are safe to change every '<light_amb_occ_mult_veh>' value found to whatever you want ('0.000' (zero) to turn vehicle AO off completely)

  • @a63nt-5m1th მადლობა, thanx
