Spawn MP Vehicles in SP



  • There's a new update ,OK , we have to wait the script hook update, OK , in meanwhile i wanna spawn MP cars in SP, we got a mod, this mod don't need script hook, but the new dlc broke it this mod, this mod is called Spawn MP Vehicles in SP https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/mp-vehicles-in-sp, by the way a mod went missing (enable spawn cars) the R* blocked the spawn of MP cars in SP, with this mod the MP cars did not disappear in SP, somebody know what is going on???? And some knows if there's some other way to spawn MP cars in SP without script hook????

    The 'trick', as I just explained to someone in chat as well, is to NOT upgrade -- subsidiarily, to revert to Doomsday from a backup. Then you should be able to add the DLC from the new update manually to your mod's dlclist.xml, to get at least the new cars (playable content, like alleged new races, probably not). 'Spawn MP Vehicles in SP' should then still work too.

  • That mod is semi working, if you have multiplayer cars in your garages they will be protected but you can't spawn new cars sadly. I hope its devoloper doesn't abondon it

  • @meimeiriver Thanks for the helpful info. Does that mean using the new update.rpf, or just one of the subfolders inside it that the dlclist can pull from? I'm looking forward to giving this a shot

    That is why you should always make a backup of:
    GTAV.exe
    GTAVLauncher.exe
    Social Club Setup
    update.rpf
    And make a backup folder with the name of the DLC they're from and drop them into it. This way when a new DLC lands, you can just copy and paste those back into their original locations overwriting the new ones from the update and ta-da, the game is 100% working again with mod support until SHV gets patched.
    I never used to make backups before, and when the OpenIV lawsuit tantrum by TakeTwo hit, I was SOL because I didn't have a way to fix it until the issue resolved. Ever since then I backup each and every time. Typically my method is:
    When the new DLC comes out, I make a copy of those files I mentioned above, and paste them into a folder named for the DLC they are from. I then put that folder into my GTABackups folder elsewhere on my system. This way I have an 'archive'. Though I only keep one previous DLC. Which means once SHV gets patched, I'll delete my Doomsday backup and just keep this new Autosport backup so that I'll be set when the next one comes out.

    As far as reverting, you'll have to find someone with the Doomsday files I mentioned willing to send copies to you

    Apparently, I'm not as good a communicator as I thought I was, as it seems to cause confusion. :) I outlined it again here

    And to be clear, DON'T use the new update.rpf, or any of the subfolders within it! Just restore to Doomsday, and only copy the new DLC (from the update) to your restored Doomsday install, like you would add any other DLC.

  • @jrfortezza just add them to traffic manually. it's not difficult at all. @meimeiriver how would this add cars to traffic ? it won't. you'd still need to update the existing popgroups.ymt in order for the cars to spawn naturally. simply "adding" the dlc alone won't work. and if it's just the cars you're after, just rip them, and add them to an existing DLC. it's not rocket science.

    Yeah, I wasn't talking about traffic, of course: just about getting access to the DLC assets, like cars, peds, etc.

    Just ripping out the cars is definitely an option too -- and a fairly straightforward job at that, even; but I already had a heck of a time explaining the basic concept. :P

    Speaking of ripping out the cars, I wonder whether you can prevent them from despawning that way, if you just rename them!? It's past midnight here now, but it looks like I'll have my work cut out for me, for tomorrow.

    Yes, that's what I've been saying too: obviously you can't do the alleged new races, but there's no reason the cars wouldn't work. In fact, came to think of it, they should not despawn AT ALL this way, as you only copy the DLC (not the exe et al.), so there's nothing in the code yet to recognize them as 'superdooper secretly new'; hence, no reason to despawn them: as far as the game is concerned, they're just another set of third-party addon cars.

    That's the prop from Franklin's fancy home (bedroom), right? For ppl interested, look up the ytyp entry for that thing, and learn how to attach audio to a prop. :)
