How to download old .exes after Update ( Steam)

This is a Tutorial on How to download the old .exes after a Update.
IMPORTANT: To prevent crashes, the old update.rpf is needed!

Enable the Steam console.
To enable the Steam console, right click on your steam shortcut, press space, and put -console at the end of the path.
then click apply and ok.
now start steam through the Shortcut and you can see the "Console" option

Go to the GTA V page on steamdb: https://steamdb.info/app/271590/depots/
select for the .exes the depot: 271591
and then select the Manifests category

Now you see a list of every update on this Depot.
the second position is always the previous version before the Update, this is the version we want.
copy the ManifestID of it, in our Case it´s: 1847102615976212598 -
now go back in Steam and go into the Console, to download the old .exes we need to input a command.
the command is build like this: download_depot (appID) (DepotID) (Manifestid).
in our case the Command is: download_depot 271590 271591 1847102615976212598 .
now enter your command in the console and press enter.
steam will now download the Files:

when the download is complete
go into steam/steamapps/content/app_271590/depot_271591
now copy the .exes in your Game folder and your Done, you successfully downloaded the old.exes

you need to have it saved or download it somewhere.
of course you could use this method, but then you would need to download EVERY DLC except the latest.
i can´t upload it bc i have very bad upload, but you will find it somewhere.

@rollschuh2282 You can also just copy it from the vanilla files if they weren't tampered with.

For those who can't start steam in the -console mode for the target, hit win+r and type in: steam://open/console

@rollschuh2282 If anything, your method shows that nothing beats having a good old-fashioned, manual backup.
But your way will be a god-sent, for sure, for those who didn't make one (which will be the last time they'll make that mistake; reminds me of the old saying "How do you remember your wife's anniversary?.... Forget it once!")

but if you want to download the whole 20gb of the DLCs, then you just need to click on the depot 271594 instead of 271591 on steamdb.com, and then follow the tutorial like usual

but you can still download the old .exes

@rollschuh2282 I'm having a huge problem. First time hopping on GTA in about a year, last time I played I had a load of replacement vehicles and a load of add ons. When I booted up the game today, with the new version of GTA I don't have any of the add ons, only the replacement cars. Any help would be good. I tried installing the old .exes but I'm not entirely sure that's what I need to do in my situation. I copied the .exe on step 5 and replaced them with the current ones, was this what I was meant to do? I just want to drift my cars

@SgtSupreme probably you didn´t put the addons into your dlclist.xml.

Doesnt work for me still get a scripthook error when starting the game. i have installes the old exes ....
