Replaced cars still have the old model stucked in them
-
i am running the latest version of gta (standalone without steam).
i just installed openiv scripthook and asi loader so they should be the latest versions.
And the menyoo trainer with latest version that is working fine.
i have 1 car that spawns without tires and the spoiler of the old car.
the others have the old model mixed in to the new one.
and one of them has a second front bumper flying on the side.
i already reinstalled all cars and did it both times like the readme file said

@Doncato Are you using a MODS folder?
-
yes
-
@Doncato cool, so what cars are you trying to replace?

all cars shall replace existing cars
-
@krissboo anny ideas?
-
@Doncato Sorry bro was working lol. Only thing I can think of is that the vehicle locations have changed since the update, I would do a search for each car you're replacing and put them in the latest / most recent rpf folder.
I started using a specific folder in my DLCPacks and I just put whatever car in there and it replaces the vanilla ones without having to mess about. I can upload my folder for you later if you want and you can try that.
-
@krissboo sounds great thx
-
@Doncato Here's the folder Cars Replace DLC just add it to your DLCpacks and add this line
dlcpacks:\Cars[Replace]
to your DLCLIST.xml
Let me know how you get on. Also make sure you have copied all your vanilla RPF folders into your MODS folder. Mine looks like this:
-
@krissboo you have way less rpf folders then me
-
@krissboo so i put the dlc.rpf in every folder that i have in dlcpacks?
-
@Doncato Lol. well I only copied the ones I use so it doesn't take up so much space.
-
@krissboo i copyed everything
-
@Doncato I did that the first time round, anyway get that DLC folder installed and just drag the replace files in there and then let me know if it works for ya. Any tuning parts can go in the vehicle_mods.rpf. Do you use addon cars? if so they need to be installed in the usual way (put folder in dlcpacks, add line to dlclist.xml)
-
@krissboo do you have skype or something? english is not my mother tongue so i have problems with text voice is better for me
-
@Doncato nah bro i don't sorry.
-
@krissboo so i go to mods/update/x64/dlcpacks and replace the dlc.rpf in every folder?
-
@Doncato no just add the "Cars Replace" folder to the dlcpacks folder,
Then using OPENIV go to Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data and drag the dlclist.xml to your desktop.
Edit the dlclist by adding this line
dlcpacks:\Cars[Replace]
(at the bottom of the text but above where it says PATH.
Now drag your edited dlclist back to Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data
Now go to Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks and open the CARS REPLACE folder and drag the files from the car mod into the correct rpf.
Example Warrener files go into C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\Cars[Replace]\dlc.rpf\x64\vehicles.rpf\does that make sense to you?
-
@krissboo got it now thx i try it out now
-
@Doncato ok cool. Let me know how you get on
-
@krissboo im so sory that i wasted your time ijust found out on the lambo when i remove the carbon hood that everything´s good i tryed out on the other cars and my problem was that i activated the menyoo option "spawn pre upgraded" and the tuning parts loaded in the old assets into the new
-
@Doncato that's ok, at least you solved your issue. But you should use that "Cars replace" folder when replacing vehicles because it makes life much easier.
-
@krissboo im doing that right now but i have a last question when i want to add add on cars i have to make a new dlcpacks folder with the car in it and add a new line in the xml right?
-
@Doncato yes that's right. If the mod has a folder already just drag it into your dlcpacks. The most important step is to add the line in the dlclist.
Don't go too mad when installing vehicles as too many will break your game
-
@krissboo i just replace all that are standard and add max 10 add on cars then an enb and new lighting and my lets play can beginn ^^
