I want to disable all MP DLC but....
-
A couple nights ago I tried disabling all MP DLC, minus the patchdays of course. I deleted them from DLClist and extratitlecontent, but when I fired up the game, it crashed to desktop saying "corrupt game data". Anyone know of a way in getting around this?
-
@eshenk Game version? Do you use the mods folder? Exact error code? Have you checked the XMLs for syntax errors?
We need a little more information in order to be able to help.
-
@Unknown-Modder I am on 1.944.2 version. There are no syntax errors - I simply removed these MP DLC entries from both DLClist and extratitlecontent. I am gonna try this again, and report back here my findings.
-
@Unknown-Modder BTW, is there an API you could make, that allows us to multiply Peds? 2X, 5X, 10X, etc? Changes to popcycle and gameconfig only have minimal effects.
-
@eshenk I'm not planning on doing any of that in the near future. Way too busy with other stuff.
Also, please let me know the exact error code if it crashes again.
-
@Unknown-Modder Understood. BTW, I did say the error was "corrupt game data". I was also having other problems at the time, which I have cleared up since then. I will try this again when I wake up later - it's 2:00 am here, LOL.
-
@eshenk It's 8:00 am here and I haven't slept yet either lol. By error code I meant the title of the message box, e.g. "ERR_FIL_PACK_3".
-
@Unknown-Modder The error was not that, it was corrupt game data. I thought this to be strange, because all I did was comment out MP DLC from the DLClist and extratitlecontent. I also have experienced other anomalies though, I will later put out there once I wake up later.

@eshenk wb you
corrupt game data is what V returns when eg the
content.xml
tries to mount a file that is no longer present inside the archive
so I get this when silly me deletes a _mods.rpf on a car but doesn't delete the entry incontent.xml
deleting vanilla dlcpacks in
dlclist.xml
is what I do too to facilitate my 60+ added vehicle dlcpacks
basically I'm only running the mpxxx dlcpacks and patchdays that were present in v1.26so, in your case, you're deleting too much from the list
-
@ReNNie It is what I suspected - deleting too much. There was mppatchesng. Why would removing that cause any problem when it only applies to anything MP? I don't know - all I know is that I could not load my game with all MP DLC removed from the DLClist. Again, I will try this again, and report back my findings.
