Menyoo is a Trojan.Gen6 virus (Not; False Positive)

Hey guys,

So, Menyoo has been detected as a Trojan.Gen6 virus. This has happened to me and many more others. So, what should I do? I guess that we can stop downloading the menu till this issue is resolved, or have moderators to ban the creator for infecting our systems.

Read it as a false positive, that's what you do.

It's been around since 2015, dude. If Menyoo were legit a trojan the moderators would've already started asking him questions. Keep in mind of that fancy little badge next to the download thing beneath the user's name and avatar, where several versions of Menyoo are listed. If it's green it's been checked by VirusTotal and not read as a trojan like your anti-virus reads it as.

Let's discuss

Whenever a (crappy) anti-virus program detects something like a 'gen(eric)' type X virus, especially on a well-known mod like Menyoo, you can safely bet on it being a false positive.

or have moderators to ban the creator for infecting our systems.

Or get a better, non-crappy AV system.

Btw, whenever a mod is detected by an AV I look into it to check whether it's a false positive or not.
And, like @krashadam, @meimeiriver and @DarthPungz already mentioned it's a false positive and I can assure you in this case it's just due to the exe/dll protector Menyoo uses.
I use the same program for research so I know how it works and how it can be defeated.
