Matte colored car parts turned into chrome issue ?

Greetings everyone,
Does anyone know how to fix this issue where matte black colored parts of a car mod are permanently turned into chrome and can't be changed via the simple trainer car color menu? This happened after I was forced to update my update rpf file. All of the car mods that I installed before share this thing where any matte colored body part (separate from the actual car color) are turned into chrome and it's really annoying. I lost my visual settings but still retained my mods. So far I reinstalled VisualV back and brighter ELS lights but this chrome thing has been my issue.
