GTA crashes when I load storymode

Every time I add mod to the game it won't load story mode and the game crashes so I remove the mod and the game works. I don't know if this is a problem with the game or the mod but can someone please help me it is very frustrating because some mods work but others wont.

Thats modding... some mods dont get updated. some just dont work.
Look at when the mod was last updated...ie 2016.. its 2 years of no fixes.Then the easiest way to find out whats wrong is to read the log files.
It will literally tell you why its crashing.

Hi mate,
I literally just spent 2 hours modding GTA V and tested each mod install, one by one after installing to confirm which mod would break the game, on an existing game save and everything was working great! Then I decided to load a new game.... GTA V crashed.... loading other save game files...GTA crashes... start new game from an existing load, it crashed again.
Anyway, after playing around for 10 minutes, I decided to go to the GTA V save folder location, copy pasted to desktop the profile folder from /documents/Rockstar games/GTA V/ Profiles then deleted it from that location.
Fired up GTA > set the GFX settings again, started a new game, did the prologue again only this time it didn't crash after it ended as it did earlier. Existing configuration files may be breaking your game too.
Give it a try see how it goes.

Hey guys, I am not sure if this is the right place, but today(I think) after updating OpenIV I am no longer able to run the game. When I load story mode the game crashes because of Script Hook with the following error: CORE: An exception occurred while executing 'TrainerV.asi' (0x00007FF9AFE242A0), id 34
Any ideas what might causing the problem and how to fix it?

@Murd3rWorship OpenIV has nothing to do with your game running. It is it's own separate program entirely. I'm confused why if you have the error code... which doesnt even mention OIV, would you even be asking. The error code plainly states what is the cause.

The issue was caused by OIV! Now, it is fixed thanks to the great community here!

Hello, I was playing GTA 5 with mods, but my game keeps crashing. Is there a way to fix it? I mean, my game got buffered, I was saying, "Hey, want to customize the cars from the Los Santos Tuners update?" and Rockstar is like, "Well, the game crashes so you cannot do it!" I was going to customize, not crashing my game.
