2 day old GTA V(Social Club ver.) crashing at loading screen

    My game crashes during the loading screen every time since last night. The sirens go off just fine when its loading and it starts showing the screen images. I can also see the info windows appear showing me whats going on in online this week. But at the same point right after the first window appears it will crash every time and it never makes it to the actual game. The last time it was working i had just installed Simple trainer so i could spawn Rick's Spaceship which i also just installed. Any help would be appreciated. I just got the game so im not sure what to do with this.

    I downloaded the Rockstar Social Club Version of the game two days ago so its not the Steam or disc version and its the most current version of the game. All mods are aslo the most current versions since i downloaded them yesterday.

    I replaced the x64e.rpf file by removing it and alllowing the launcher to download it again. But i am not sure what else to try beyond that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Unfortunately that file did not help my problem. Appreciate the help. Sadly i am at a loss and i have no idea how to fix this issue. I have tried the few things i have found online about this issue but nothing resolves the problem.

    @opeo I am in the exact same boat. If I remove all the things I've added to the dcllist, then the game loads fine but none of my addon dlc's are loaded... the moment I add just one---it crashes during load.

  • @vendetta1969 Make sure you are using Dilapidated's gameconfig - it might not work because there have been R* updates since it's creation. Don't panic. First put back whatever gameconfig you were using, and then try this -

    Now, that may end up still not being enough, because there may be certain values that needs to be raised in the gameconfig in order to support the quantity of add-ons you have. If that turns out to be the case WinMerge is your friend. WinMerge will allow you to quickly see what current default R* values needs to be raised - usually the archive count and the host broadcast data, but there will always be expected maximums also, near the bottom of the game config.

    Install it. Then put a copy of Dilapidated's gameconfig on your desktop. Now, take your stock gameconfig and put it in a folder you create on your desktop. Launch WinMerge. Click file, then open. A prompt appears. Direct the first box to where you put dilapidated's gameconfig, and then underneath in the next box point it to where you have your stock gameconfig, then click Ok. The left-most pane highlights all differences in yellow. If you pay close attention, it should become quite obvious what you will need to do. Note: you can highlight any value in either window, and right-click to copy changes. So you want to merge the difference in values from the right-most pane (stock config) to the window next to it on the left (dilapidated's config) Anything that is higher than what is in dilapidated's you want to merge over. Carefully examine each change in yellow, and it should be clear to you what to do. If you do this right, everything will work, and you will also know exactly what you need to do with each and every R* update.
