Would like a veteran mod creator to give me some starting tips.

So my buddy recently is wanting to do GTA 5 mods and I decided I am going to hop on board. I have a lot of previous programming/modding experience so I don't need super fine details. Just looking for some direction.
I am requesting that someone link some tutorials that have to do with modding the game (not textures). I would just rather save myself the time if someone knows of a well put together tut with tons of info that would be awesome to get my hands on.

@TroostMe I'd recommend ScriptHookVDotNet. As an experienced programmer you quickly grasp it because it has intellisense support.
